Welcome to the First Regional Library!

We are a five county public library system serving the people who live, work and go to school in DeSoto, Tate, Tunica, Panola and Lafayette counties of northwestern Mississippi.  Our service area is as diverse as our people: we serve delta farmers, hill ranchers, college students and professors, as well as Memphis suburbanites and their growing families.  First Regional Library is headquartered in a beautiful two-story building located on the northwestern corner of the Hernando Historic Square.

Getting a library card is easy!  Once you have your library card and PIN number, you can not only check out the library’s books and movies, you can also access the Internet (yes, we have WiFi!), download an eAudio to take with you on a road trip, access the many MAGNOLIA resources made available to us by the State legislature, research your family tree, and many, many more services – all brought to you free of charge.

I personally hope you will use the library often – both in person and virtually.  We look forward to seeing you!

Feel free to contact me should you have a question or suggestion.
